Email Welcome Series

Objective: KodiakCare is a nonprofit that partners with veterinarians and animal hospitals to provide lifesaving medical treatments and surgeries for dogs whose families lack financial means. They wanted a way to welcome new subscribers to their mailing list. 

Solution: An email welcome series was the perfect solution. This is a series of informative/introductory emails sent to new subscribers when they first join an email list. Welcome emails generally see an open rate of 2X that of other emails and are a great way to engage new followers right when they are most excited to learn about you. It’s a perfect chance to tell them all about your business, encourage them to follow you on socials, and possibly even get them to make a purchase or donation. I crafted this series of three emails that welcomes new subscribers, tells them a bit about the organization and how it got started, lets them them know what to expect, and gives them an opportunity to make a donation.

Email Promoting Nonprofit 5K

Objective: KodiakCare, a nonprofit that raises money for lifesaving care for needy dogs, was having their first 5K fundraiser. They needed emails to their subscribers to promote the event and encourage participation.

Solution: I crafted a series of friendly, informative emails explaining the event and encouraging recipients to click the link and sign up.

Email Promoting Auction Event

Objective: KodiakCare is a nonprofit that raises money for lifesaving care for dogs in need. They rely largely on donations and needed to promote their first major fundraiser, an online auction.

Solution: I helped create and refine several emails to increase awareness of and participation in the auction, including the one below, which offers details on the event, as well as a clear call to action. The auction was a huge success, meeting 180% of the goal.
