Pure Impact Boxing Gym Mailer*

Objective: This was an assignment for a copywriting class. The objective was to create a direct mail piece aimed at men and women ages 22–38 who are very active and fitness conscious. They take their fitness seriously and are always looking for ways to optimize their workouts. The goal of the ad was to inspire the recipient to visit Pure Impact Boxing Gym (a fictional company) and use their free three-day pass. 

Solution: I worked with a designer to create this two-sided mailer that conveys the benefits of joining this gym. My ad draws on the recipient’s desire to stay fit through exercise and shows the benefits of joining this particular gym: multiple training options, extended hours, and efficient, challenging workouts.

KodiakCare Thank-You Mailer*

Objective: KodiakCare is a non-profit organization that funds life-saving veterinary care for dogs whose families lack financial means. They needed a simple, yet eye-catching way to thank their donors at the holidays. 

Solution: I worked with KodiakCare’s executive director to craft a brief, yet effective two-sided direct mail piece that offered a sincere thank-you to their supporters and demonstrated the organization’s success to date, as well as the need for continued support. We were able to show the real-life impact of the donors’ contributions and inspire them to continue to support KodiakCare in the future.
